Mansi's Workshop:A place to linger,
like, love, loath, review and discuss
Abstract
Impressionism is what I would call my paintings. I see or
experience things that make
an impression on me and then I create a literal transalation of that
impression. You will find an almost complete list of my works on this site,
some have been sold, some I have sitting next to my cat (Rocky) at
home. Pictures are to be found in both the Gallery section and Workshop.
I don't have a lot of
explainations for my paintings. My mother often wants me
talk about them and I can't. It's not that no thought goes behind them,
but more that they are snap shots of what I am feeling at that exact
moment in time. Almost all of my paintings have been conceived at one
time or another on a napkin or table top or sketch book (when for some
reason I am particularly organised). I like to think my art is a snapshot of my emotions
at that particular time.
I am often asked to create
a painting for a given space or a particular person, I find these
particularly enjoyable because my feelings for the person somehowmanifest themselves in the
resulting piece adding a challenging restriction to the
artwork I create; in the same manner creating a painting for a certain
space forces me to have to take into account size, wall colour,
lighting and the patron's special tastes.
Please
leave me your feedback, reviews, and most importantly anything that you
feel looking at any of these pieces. If you would like to buy one,
please send me an email with your best offer, pieces that are already
sold will have a sold sign next to them on the site.
